Human beings cannot exist in isolation. Wanting to live all by oneself, as per one's own terms and conditions, may look like a convenient and attractive way to exist, but in reality, is far from that. It is only when we interact with our fellow human beings and encourage each other that we can connect with the true meaning of our existence and are able to forge ahead through life without losing our aspirations or our sense of purpose.

Daisaku Ikeda

(Josei ni okuru kotoba 365 nichi, pg. 268)
