There is always some meaning behind a child's seemingly "problematic behavior". Think of it as the outward manifestation of a signal emanating from a child's heart. Even though children might sense that their actions are somehow out of place, they may not be able to reason or express their feelings too well about them. And more often than not, they may not be able to fully grasp what's going in their own minds in the first place. At such times we need to understand the meaning behind their actions and support them to deal with themselves better. But in order for us to catch these signals, our hearts and minds need to be in tune.
